I hear that statement over and over again, that stupid people should not be allowed to breed. What about fat, blind, deaf, etc., where do you draw the line? Why even let them live that long to grow into an adult? With all of our growing technology and knowledge, the average person has to know more and more just to be aware of all the dangers that might harm/kill them during their lifetime.

  We have added safety features to everything to save lives and to help the stupid people. We killed the majority of predators or animal that might harm us, culled their numbers, or drove them to extinction. The problem is unless it hurts or is painful the majority of stupid people will not learn. You are asking to much of their limited faculties to arrive at conclusion based on logic. We also need an occasional example to remind us why not to do some things, since we learn by example.

  The problem is twofold. Not only are we wasting money/time by adding overkill safety features so that no one ever dies, we are allowing stupid people to LIVE LONG enough to breed. Back a hundred years or so the majority of stupid people DIED. They did not live long enough to breed. How can you be that cold to a child? The same way I can be that cold to an adult. In fact it is better for me to be cold to a child, it saves money/time. The majority of people that were disciplined once or twice as a child behave better as adults, they spend less time in jail, etc.

  Not to mention we need some "stupid" people, since "stupid" is based on perspective. Who else will actually do all the work? I had this conversation with my mother not to long ago after she said the title of this paper one day after work. I know she means well and have to remind myself that I am cursed to be blessed.
