Why do I complain about frames of reference, but harp about perspective? There is a simple basic reason for this and that is Einstein sought to simplify by using frames of reference. The moving frame of reference versus the non-moving frame, he sought to remove dimensions, to strip it down to its most useful qualities or the ones that matter for the equation he was trying to solve. This way he did not have to do a bunch of redundant work over and over again.

  When I talk about perspective, I seek to add dimensions and to add more information instead of stripping it away. Unlike frames of reference, multiple perspectives can be valid at the same time. The information from one agrees with information from the other. To view or perceive any 3D image one must use multiple perspectives or else errors can occur. A large square box looks the same if viewed from the side, as does a triangle or wedge. Only by adding in a second perspective can we determine what the shape of the object actually is. The object could be round on the backside too for all we know or any other shape.

  Is there a preferred perspective? Yes there is, and that is the lowest possible energy state, or what we call ground in electronics. Without a ground, or one common potential electronic devices do not work and cannot operate. Devices have no way of knowing the magnitude of the signal it is receiving and whether it is a "1" or a "0". There are just switches after all that have a threshold and need so much voltage to switch or trip (old TTL is 2.6V to 5V), but without a common ground to reference the power to there is no way to determine magnitude. There is no way to determine the position or state of the switch until you measure it, and the act of measuring could cause the state to change since you are adding or taking power to perform the measurement. K.I.S.S. says that the lowest common energy state is the preferred one, or the reference. If only we were not inside this dynamic washing machine in a constant state of motion this would be easier to figure out.
