What were the reasons that God picked the Jewish over other cultures? There were the Egyptians who were building pyramids and other structures. They had mastered boats and using water too. There were others too that had far surpassed what Jewish culture had accomplished at that time in history. If building large structures and squatting on land were, what God thought the most of then why did he pick the Jews as his chosen people again?
When you look at things on a longer timescale like God does you will start to realize that even though the pyramids are over 5k years old, they and the land they are on will disappear. Either it will erode away and sink below sea level with time, or through plate tectonics it will be sucked under the crust, or a volcano erupts there, or our sun goes super nova and takes out the whole planet, or our galaxy hits another one, or we are sucked into a blackhole, etc. You then start to realize how STUPID people's obsession with land is. I am an anti-semite because I want to nuke some land without killing anyone...sure I am lol.
So what does God like then? What were the Jewish people at the time he came to them and asked them to be examples to humanity? Did they even have a capital city at the time? Did they have an established currency at that time? Even though he gave you land (at first), I do not think he wanted you to build more pyramids. If he did, then why did he pick you again?
